Fans of the powdery pillowy pockets known as Bilstad’s Beignets in Ashburn had better brace themselves. The cafe – and the company as a whole – will be quietly shutting down later this year.
That’s per an announcement today from Scott and Jenny Bilstad, the purveyors of said pillowy pockets.
“As our kids have grown, we’ve realized they need more of our time and attention,” the Bilstad’s shared on social media. “While this business has brought us many blessings, our kids have also made sacrifices along the way. With that in mind, we’ve decided that when our lease ends later this year, we will close the cafe.”…
