DECATUR, Ind. (WPTA) – A tortoise named Daisy went missing from her Decatur family’s yard Tuesday, prompting a neighborhood search that ended with her safe return, thanks to a Facebook post and two families who recognized she needed to get home.
Zach Losher said the family brought Daisy outside to enjoy the warm weather. When they went inside for a snack, they forgot the tortoise was still in the yard.
“We came inside to get a snack. We were sitting in here after the snack as we were like ‘Oh crap, Daisy is still outside!’, and so we go outside… and she’s nowhere to be found,” Losher said…
