Kentucky judge faces impeachment call over alleged bias

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Fayette County Commonwealth’s Attorney Kimberly Baird said she believes Circuit Judge Julie Goodman should be impeached.

In a letter to the Kentucky House impeachment committee, Baird wrote that public trust in Goodman cannot be restored.

The committee is scheduled to hear directly from Baird on Monday as it reviews a petition seeking Goodman’s removal from the bench.

Former Republican state Rep. Killian Timoney filed a petition on Jan. 28 against Judge Julie Goodman, alleging she has shown bias and engaged in what he calls “judicial activism.”…
