Mobile man pleads guilty to manslaughter of 13-year-old cousin

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man from Mobile has pleaded guilty in the manslaughter case of his 13-year-old cousin.

Terry Penn, 20, pleaded guilty to the charge of manslaughter on Thursday, March 12, News 5 has learned. He will serve six months in prison, followed by three years of probation.

On March 6, 2024, Penn, who was 18 at the time, was handling a gun while driving in the car with his 13-year-old cousin.

The gun went off and hit the cousin, who later died from his injuries at a hospital.
