ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – UPDATE: Roanoke Police are responding to reports of significantly overspending on a grant.
The Roanoke Rambler says the department overspent $94 thousand to support at-risk youth through the department’s RESET team.
Mayor Joe Cobb says it happened because of personnel changes among those carrying out the grant, but says safeguards are now in place to prevent similar issues from happening again…
