COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ten Medicaid providers across Ohio, including several from Greater Cleveland, have been indicted on charges accusing them of stealing a combined $578,000 from the state’s Medicaid program, Attorney General Dave Yost announced on Thursday.
The indictments were secured this month by the attorney general’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in Franklin County Common Pleas Court following investigations into alleged billing fraud involving in-home care services and addiction treatment.
“In the spirit of St. Patrick, we’re driving out the snakes who prey on Medicaid,” Yost said in a statement. “We have zero tolerance for billing shenanigans that cheat taxpayers and exploit the vulnerable.”…
