Miami, Florida – Authorities in Florida say a nurse has been arrested in connection with the violent killing of a married former coworker, a case investigators say began with a planned birthday meetup that ended in tragedy.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Rene Perez, 38, was taken into custody in Miami on Tuesday in connection with the death of Linda Campitelli, a married mother who was found fatally injured in October 2024.
