THREE RIVERS, Mich. — A Navy veteran in Three Rivers is receiving help from fellow veterans to rebuild his home after a tornado ravaged Three Rivers last week, leaving significant damage.
Joe Stevenson, a local musician, credits a flyer he was distributing around town to promote his music as the reason he survived the storm. At the time the tornado struck, he was away from home, handing out the promotional material, which he believes kept him out of harm’s way.
“I would have been just driving into my driveway where I park here in the stones,” Stevenson said. “Right about the time my garage and my roof was destroyed in my house.”…
