Deadly hit-and-run crashes reaching record highs

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) -Fatal hit-and-run crashes are hitting record highs across the country, and Richmond has felt the impact with two pedestrian deaths already this year.

The latest research from AAA shows 15% of all police-reported crashes involved a driver who left the scene, which comes down to one in seven drivers. The trend has been rising since 2010.
