GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) — A 27-year-old man from western Wisconsin was arrested after an employee reported him inside a store near Fox River Mall — the same area where he allegedly followed and tried to touch a 17-year-old girl earlier this month.
What happened
The first incident was reported at the 4300 block of W. Wisconsin Ave., near the mall. The teen told officers a man was following her closely as she was leaving a store and attempted to touch her. She was able to pull away, and the man left the area before officers arrived.
During their investigation, officers learned the same man had approached other girls and women in the area while they were shopping and asked for their phone numbers. Those incidents had not been reported to police.
Officers reviewed video surveillance and followed up with nearby stores, but were unable to identify the suspect.
