New Iberia father warns parents to watch kids’ social media after tragedy

NEW IBERIA, La (KLFY) — A New Iberia father is sharing his daughter’s story as a landmark lawsuit against major social media companies’ heads toward closing arguments in California.

The case is part of a broader legal fight involving more than 2,000 plaintiffs who allege platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube were designed in ways that can addict young users and expose them to harmful content.
