The former Salut Bar Americain space at 50th and France is being revamped, with plans to bring a sports bar to the Edina shopping area.
General Sports Bar, a new concept from the team behind NOLO’s Kitchen, will open in the late summer, according to an announcement.
“Growing up, I used to go to General Sports, and I have great memories of going downstairs to get my skates sharpened,” says Marty Collins, who, along with Brett Johnson, is a co-owner of the soon-to-open bar.
“There really wasn’t a true sports bar in Edina, especially at 50th and France,” Johnson says in a statement. “We wanted to create a place where people can come as they are, watch a game, have a great meal, and just have a good time.”…
