When Lilly Vuong purchased an old shotgun on Magazine Street in October 2020 with a plan to open a second location of her restaurant, Lilly’s Cafe, she hoped it would open that summer.
But construction and permitting delays pushed that opening date by one year, then two, then until 2026. On Thursday, however, Vuong got a key approval that will help the restaurant finally launch the summer.
