SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A 42-year-old man suspected of driving while impaired was arrested shortly after midnight on Thursday after fleeing from a traffic stop in his vehicle and then on foot, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).
The incident began around 12:03 a.m. when a Spokane Valley Police Department (SVPD) deputy noticed the suspect’s vehicle drifting across lanes on East Broadway Avenue. The car turned south onto Ella Road, nearly hitting two people and a semi-truck, according to SCSO officials.
