Hammer-wielding suspect steals $10K worth of jewelry from Glendale pawn shop

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A thief used a hammer to smash a jewelry display case and steal nearly $10,300 worth of jewelry from a Glendale pawn shop last week.

Just before 1 p.m. on March 4, officers responded to the Super Pawn near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road.

Police say surveillance video shows the suspect, described as a Black or Hispanic man, loitering between the pawn shop and a nearby supermarket for nearly 30 minutes before entering the store…
