BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Two men tied to a 2023 shootout during an attempted burglary on Pine Street have been sentenced to state prison, according to the Kern County Superior Court.
On March 11, 2026, Melvin Carter of Palmdale was sentenced to 22 years and eight months in prison. Frederick Minnoy III of Bakersfield was sentenced to eight years.
