A Thursday afternoon shooting at the NYCHA Kingsborough Houses in Crown Heights left a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the face, rattling neighbors and sparking an urgent police search. The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where authorities say he is expected to recover. Police are looking for a suspect who fled west on Pacific Street.
Officers responded to 308 Kingsborough 3rd Walk just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday, and EMS transported the man to Kings County, according to News 12 New York. The NYPD described a person of interest as last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and said the search of the area was ongoing. No arrests had been reported at the time of the station’s update.
