Georgia women could have easier to access contraceptives at pharmacies under new bill

WALKER COUNTY, Ga. — In Georgia’s General Assembly, the House recently passed a bill that would enable pharmacists to dispense contraceptives without a doctor’s prescription.

If passed, the bill would expand the accessibility of contraceptives in the state.

The bill’s sponsor says in many counties across Georgia, women do not have access to an OBGYN.
