A large emergency response was underway midday Thursday at a Columbus youth detention center.
Numerous officials with the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office responded to Aaron Cohn Youth Detention Center on Chattsworth Road after they received a call of a male suspect refusing to leave the premise.
“It was also alleged that he may have been strapped with some type of object to his person,” Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman said. “It was not a bomb.”
