Gainesville Police Department officers arrested Gregory Tyrone Hill, 35, on Monday and charged him with misdemeanor domestic battery, felony property damage, robbery by sudden snatching (felony) and hindering police communications (felony).
According to the arrest report, Hill was agitated with the victim and punched her in the lip while she was driving her vehicle. The victim tried to stop the vehicle but Hill reportedly pushed her leg towards the gas pedal to keep the car driving.
The arrest report continues, “The victim stated [Hill] then began attempting to pull her out of the vehicle through the passenger side door. The victim stated she was able to get out of the vehicle, when [Hill] snatched her phone and [her] car keys out of her hand, breaking her fingernail while in the act. The victim advised [Hill] tossed her phone in the bushes, which [she] later retrieved out of the bushes. The victim stated she could not find her key fob the vehicle.”…
