New Albany approves $37M Padgett District development; construction set for summer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A $37 million development planned near downtown New Albany could soon bring hundreds of new housing units, retail space and entertainment options to the area.

According to our partners at Louisville Business First, the Padgett District received approval this week from the New Albany Redevelopment Commission.

Plans call for redeveloping the historic Padgett Building into 40 loft-style apartments, along with about 180 additional housing units across Bank Street, including apartments and townhome-style residences…
