ORANGE, N.J. (Essex County) — A woman was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train early Friday at the Highland Avenue station in Orange, according to NJ Transit officials.
The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. when train 442 on the Gladstone Branch of the Morris & Essex Line struck a female trespasser near the station.
The train had departed Gladstone at 11:53 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Hoboken Terminal at 1:22 a.m., officials said…
