Marion County commissioners are expected to approve a two-year extension for renovations at the Heagy-Burry Park boat ramp while authorizing critical structural modifications to the facility’s new floating dock system.
The Marion County Board of County Commissioners will vote Tuesday, March 17, to extend a state grant agreement with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) that funds ongoing improvements at Heagy-Burry Park.
If approved, the second amendment to the agreement will move the project’s expiration date from December 31, 2025, to November 30, 2027.
