The City of Ventura is inviting community members to help shape the future of arts and culture by providing input on new policies, updates to grant programs, and a five-year implementation plan.
In March 2025, the Ventura City Council adopted Strategic Priorities to guide City decisions through June 2029. The priorities identify several focus areas for City action, including the development of arts and culture policies, and help staff translate the Council’s vision into programs and initiatives that benefit the community.
In October 2025, the City Council also adopted the Arts and Culture Element of the General Plan. The element establishes a long-term framework to strengthen arts, culture, and heritage in Ventura and was developed with input from residents, artists, and cultural organizations…
