TALLAHASSEE, Florida — Paul Anthony Hart, a 42-year-old from Tallahassee, Florida, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
The sentence, announced by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, will run consecutively to an existing Georgia sentence for cocaine trafficking. “The citizens of the Northern District of Florida deserve safe, drug-free streets,” U.S. Attorney Heekin stated, emphasizing the commitment to dismantling drug trafficking networks through Operation Take Back America.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) had been investigating Hart’s methamphetamine trafficking activities. On April 2, 2025, DEA agents observed Hart traveling from Dothan, Alabama, into Tallahassee, Florida. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Hart’s vehicle to arrest him for an active warrant out of Georgia.
