Churro Time in West El Paso serves fresh churros made in-house with fillings such as caramel, Bavarian cream, chocolate, strawberry, Nutella and Lechera.
The shop is backed by decades of experience. Founder Rogelio Cataño has worked in the churro business for more than 30 years, beginning in Mexico, where he developed his churro relleno and distributed churro‑making materials. His work later expanded to Asia and Latin America before he brought the concept to Plaza Juárez Mall in Ciudad Juárez and eventually to El Paso.
In El Paso, Cataño met Hugo and Fernando Garcia, who owned a shaved ice business, Tropical Sno, that also sold churros. They later opened the West Side location at 8001 N. Mesa St. and plan to franchise the business…
