EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A federal judge in El Paso has sentenced a former CBP officer to 10 years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to multiple criminal charges involving drug trafficking, human smuggling, and bribery of a public official.
According to court records filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Manuel Perez Jr. admitted guilt to three counts outlined in an amended information on October 9, 2025.
