A 46-year-old Iowa City man is dead after he was found unresponsive during a routine head count at the Johnson County Jail early Wednesday morning.
According to a news release from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, jail staff began lifesaving measures for Lawrence James Bohnenkamp shortly after 4 a.m. and called an ambulance.
