MARION IOWA – Police say an officer was justified in using deadly force after a man approached officers with a machete during a February incident in a residential neighborhood.
According to a report released by the Iowa Office of the Attorney General, the shooting occurred on Feb. 4 after a Marion police officer responded to a call from a resident requesting to speak with law enforcement.
