(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Thursday, March 12, a U.S. Army veteran got a new roof thanks to a roofing company’s nationwide effort to show gratitude and honor the veterans who served our country.
Through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity and Priority Roofing, an Owens Corning Platinum Roofing Contractor, U.S. Army veteran Jerry Phillips was selected and approved as the recipient for the roof replacement.
“It’s unbelievable. Everybody’s so nice, offering me more than I need. Really, I’m just glad everybody showed up; they brought food, drinks, and everything,” said Phillips.
“This is my first project doing it, and it’s something that I would really like to do monthly and really just help veterans who have protected our country and deserve what they need if they can’t get it on their own, and that’s where I wanna come in and give them new roofs when they need it,” said Michael Schneider, Manager at Priority Roofing…
