Albuquerque unveils playground upgrades and fitness course at Daniel Webster Park

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The city celebrated the completion of upgrades at Daniel Webster Memorial Park, enhancing its all-abilities play spaces.

The park, dedicated to Officer Daniel Webster who was killed on duty in 2015, now includes a gathering area and new inclusive playground equipment. At the request of Webster’s widow, the city’s first extreme fitness course, similar to an American Ninja Warrior obstacle course, was also added.

“People will know about this park from all over the metro, and they will come on purpose just so their kids can play at this park. That is awesome. It’s the notion of making parks more than just green space for the neighborhood but making them destinations for fun, for play for amusement, and also especially in this case for physical fitness of all ages,” said Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller…
