As a long-standing urban renewal district sunsets, one last major project is slated for western downtown.
Plans for a mixed-use development called — and located at — 1010 Jefferson St. will include 9,000 square feet of commercial spaces, a day care and downtown’s seventh parking garage. The ParkBoi garage will have 446 parking spaces. Construction is expected to begin before the Westside Urban Renewal District expires this year.
