Birmingham, Alabama – Gardeners and farmers across Alabama and north Georgia face a chilly early Friday morning as temperatures drop into the mid-30s, creating widespread frost that could damage sensitive plants before sunrise.

According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, a Frost Advisory remains in effect from 1 a.m. until 10 a.m. Friday across much of central and northern Alabama, including Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Hoover, Gadsden, Anniston, Selma, and Jasper.
