Sheriff warns about dangerous senior prank activity

Sheriff Eddie Cathey is asking for parents’ help after deputies responded to several calls involving high school students playing the viral game Senior Assassin in the Weddington and Indian Trail areas. The game involves students using water guns to ambush classmates, sometimes at their homes or other locations.

Deputies have seen teens wearing dark clothing and masks while carrying water guns that look like real firearms. Some of these lack the orange safety tip, creating fear and confusion for residents and law enforcement. Parents are urged to talk with their teens about the risks and consequences of this activity and to call 911 if they see suspicious behavior…
