SANGER – In honor of Women’s History Month, the city of Sanger has recognized three standout women who are leaving their mark on the city, and honored one for especially exceptional service to the community.
On March 11, city leaders and community members gathered at the Sanger Women’s Club site for the City of Sanger Woman of the Year 2026 reception. Out of three nominees, Esperanza Rosales, Auriette Ako Larbi and Francine Zailian, the reception concluded with Zailian being named the 2026 Woman of the Year.
“I’m just so grateful to be able to work in the community for the betterment of women and families,” said Zailian during her speech. “When you help parents, you help women, and then that circles down to their children, so it’s just such a blessing.”…
