North Carolina student injured after being run over by school bus, troopers say

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A 16-year-old was injured after being hit by a school bus in Greensboro, North Carolina on Thursday.

Guilford EMS responded to a call for a crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Edgemont Road and Spring Mill Road, which is off Liberty Road in Greensboro.

Just after 9 a.m., a student missed his bus and ran after it, but slipped, fell and was run over by the bus, troopers say.

His injuries are not life-threatening, but his legs were broken. At last check, he was alert in the hospital. The teenager’s family confirmed that he is a 16-year-old Southeast Guilford High School student.

The driver of the bus was also treated for high blood pressure and anxiety. She was not impaired and will not face charges…
