The Mableton City Council is looking to crack down on illegal tire dumping after the council heard an ordinance updating scrap tire regulations this week.
The proposal regulates used tires and increase fines for illegal dumping throughout the city.
Emily Ryan, the city’s sustainability, greenspace and beautification director, said the amendment “…further regulates the enforcement and disposal, storage and handling of tires from tire businesses to tire carriers and tire haulers.”…
