STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A stretch of New Dorp Lane below Hylan Boulevard was closed to traffic for a period of time Friday evening.
One lane of the roadway, heading towards Hylan Boulevard, was obstructed in the vicinity of Mill Road, as firefighters attempted to dislodge a sedan from Engine 165. The scene appeared to be the result of a vehicle collision.
The dark sedan was pinned against the driver-side front tire of the engine. The front bumper sustained visible damage.
Firefighters were seen at the site just after 6 p.m., about a half hour after emergency radio transmissions reported a minor collision with no injuries…
