RANDALL COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – A Randall County jury has sentenced a man to two 20-year sentences in the Texas Department of Corrections. 38-year-old Jose Alberto Martinez was sentenced by the jury on March 10.
The jury found him guilty of “Tampering with Physical Evidence” and “Possession of a Controlled Substance.”
According to the Randall County District Attorney’s Office, Martinez was a passenger in a car during a traffic stop and gave a fake name when asked to identify himself. While the officer was checking the identification of the driver and passenger, they say Martinez opened the passenger door and leaned down.
