JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – Johnson County offers a community identification card to help residents verify their identity with law enforcement and access local services. Iowa lawmakers are now considering legislation that would ban communities from issuing the cards.
How the program works
Johnson County Supervisor Rod Sullivan said the card was designed primarily to help residents interact with law enforcement.
