Major Texas airport struck with long lines for second straight day

As the partial government shutdown continues to cause headaches for travelers across the country, visitors and residents of the Lone Star State are no exception. For the second day in a row, travelers are reporting long lines and hours-long waits at one of the busiest airports in Texas.

As SXSW hits its first and only Saturday of the festival, thousands of people who likely flew in for the annual event are already packing the airport on their way home. The result is a second-straight day of lines out the door at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

The same situation happened on Friday, March 13, where travelers posted TikToks of lines stretching outside the airport as early as 6 a.m. At the time, ABIA reported over 35,000 flyers were expected on Friday, advising guests to arrive at least three hours before their flight in order to combat the TSA wait times…
