El Paso skaters represent Sun City in “One Battle After Another”

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — The Oscar nominated film “One Battle After Another” was a blockbuster hit. It grossed over $200 million at the box office and is nominated 13 times at the Academy Awards this weekend. It also has strong ties to El Paso and the Borderland.

Some of the film was shot downtown. The city is called “Baktan Cross” in the movie but there are parts that are noticeably from El Paso. Director Paul Thomas Anderson cast multiple extras in the film from El Paso. ABC-7 spoke with 4 skaters who were cast in the movie about what it was like.
