DES MOINES, Iowa — The management company planning to add lighting to Des Moines’ Waveland Golf Course has now changed its mind after initially pushing back at neighbors’ concerns over the project.
At a meeting at the end of February to unveil the plans for the project, representatives of C-Corporation, which manages the golf course, said they still planned to move forward with the project. It would add lighting to the course in an effort to extend the hours for golfers.

Those plans have now been halted. A statement from C-Corporation was shared on social media on Thursday by the Waveland Park Neighborhood Association. It said that after receiving feedback from neighbors, golfers, and the community, they would not move forward with the project.
