A midday drug raid at the Avana Weymouth apartment complex ended with a 65-year-old woman in handcuffs and a tableful of seized narcotics and cash, according to police. Weymouth detectives executed a search warrant Thursday and took Debbie Lee Francis Mulligan into custody after officers reported finding roughly 90 grams of crack/cocaine, about 2.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 21 diazepam pills and $2,481 in U.S. currency inside the apartment. Mulligan faces trafficking and related drug charges and is scheduled for arraignment the following day in Quincy District Court.
How Weymouth Police Say the Raid Went Down
According to the Weymouth Police Department, detectives from the Narcotics Unit, the Investigative Services Division and DEA Task Force 2 executed a court-authorized search warrant at about 12 p.m. Thursday at 80 Mediterranean Drive, apartment 37, in the Avana Weymouth complex. Inside, officers reported recovering approximately 90 grams of crack/cocaine, around 2.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 21 diazepam pills and $2,481 in U.S. currency. Mulligan was arrested at the scene and transported for booking, police said.
