Alexandria to Host Town Hall on Potomac Interceptor Spill

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The City of Alexandria invites residents to attend a community Town Hall about the Potomac Interceptor collapse and sewage spill, including its impacts on the Potomac River and Alexandria’s waterfront.

The Town Hall will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, in the Nannie J. Lee Memorial Recreation Center Auditorium (1108 Jefferson St.). Community members may also participate virtually via Zoom.

Hosted in partnership with DC Water and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, the event will provide a comprehensive update on the Potomac Interceptor response, current system status, and next steps for emergency repair and long-term rehabilitation efforts…
