Hamburg Police say bomb threat at local school is not credible

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Frontier Central School District in the Town of Hamburg said a program it uses to monitor digital messages detected an email containing a bomb threat on Friday.

The district stated that a middle school student sent the email to a high school student, but a program known as Gaggle, which monitors online messages, caught it before it could be delivered.

Hamburg police said they investigated the incident and found it to not be credible.
