KSP ramps up patrols to reduce ‘avoidable crashes’

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Drivers may see more Kentucky State Police troopers on the roads. It’s because KSP is ramping up patrols for Operation C.A.R.E.

C.A.R.E. stands for crash awareness and reduction effort. KSP says they’re joining law enforcement agencies across the country to improve road safety. Troopers say that means reducing the number of “avoidable crashes.”

Eyewitness News is told more troopers will be on patrol through March, 21. Troopers say it’s all to remind drivers that safe decisions save lives…
