Fountain Inn City Council approves funds allocation for community projects

The Fountain Inn City Council held its regular monthly meeting last night, hearing several items of new business.

The meeting’s most anticipated item, an 800-acre annexation application, was struck from the agenda a few hours before the meeting due to the applicant’s withdrawal of the request. According to City officials, this item will not be brought forth to Council as the application is no longer pending.

Other actions by Council included the first and final reading of Resolution 2026-03, which approves the allocation of Greenville County Community Development Block Grants and Home Funds for the year.
