KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department has arrested 39-year-old James Rodweller on charges of attempted second-degree murder following a road rage shooting that happened Saturday afternoon.
KPD said officers responded to the reported shooting at around 12:30 p.m. on Interstate 40 West near Cherry Street. Upon arrival, KPD said officers discovered a victim who reported he and Rodweller were “engaged in a protracted road rage situation” after Rodweller allegedly cut off the victim while driving.
KPD said both vehicles collided with one another, causing minor damage to the vehicles. KPD said the victim was pulling over to the shoulder of the interstate when Rodweller drove by, fired multiple rounds and continued west…
