Very Thai’s ambitious traditional restaurant plants its flagship location in Westfield Century City this week
It’s been quite the wait for Very Thai by 瓦城 (pronounced wah-cheng). After announcing its U.S. arrival in 2023, one of Taiwan’s most prominent restaurant groups has finally completed its flagship restaurant in Westfield Century City, which debuted on Thursday, March 12. This is the first U.S. location for Very Thai, now one of the few Thai restaurants in the Southland with an ambitious scope: a full bar, expansive patio, a private dining room, and a main dining area within 5,000 square feet that seats 131 guests.
Tai Tong Food and Beverage Group operates 50 Thai restaurants worldwide. Founded in 1990 by Charles Hsu, the group currently operates 145 restaurants in Taiwan under various names, including Very Thai Restaurant, 1010 Hunan Cuisine, Very Thai Noodles, Ten Ten Hunan Bistro, and Shann Rice Bar.
